ICYMI: Blake Shelton Surprises Fans at Ole Red Las Vegas and Nashville

Blake Shelton performs onstage for Spotify House at Ole Red Nashville.

The boss man’s been busy, y’all!

Right after performing his new single “Stay Country or Die Tryin’” at the American Music Awards, Blake Shelton dropped by Ole Red Las Vegas. While the band was on break, he strolled on stage, grabbed an acoustic, and treated the crowd to a surprise set, playing hits like “Texas,” “God’s Country,” and of course, “Ol’ Red.” He even grabbed one of our new orange cups—made special to celebrate his new album—and toasted the crowd.

Then, faster than you can say “Hell Right,” he was makin’ his way to Nashville for CMA Fest, AKA, the hottest weekend of the Summer. For the sixth time, Ole Red Nashville hosted Spotify House—a 3-day jam session with the biggest names in the country music game. From Keith Urban jumping up on the bar to Noah Cyrus teasing a collab with Blake, the weekend was full of surprises. But nothing topped Blake’s surprise set. Last year, it was a quick cameo with Post Malone. This year? A whole dang show.

Top moments from Blake’s appearance:

1. THE CROWD COULDN’T GET ENOUGH

Fans waited up to 6 hours to get in. After Blake hinted at a surprise appearance on socials, crowds packed the streets—and went wild when he hit the stage.

2. BLAKE THREW SOME SHADE

Blake praised the crowd’s dedication, saying, “I love country music fans, oh my God.” And even though it’s all love ‘round here, he couldn’t help but throw a jab at the next surprise guest, his buddy Luke Bryan.

3. HE BROUGHT THE HITS

From “Hillbilly Bone” to his new single “Texas,” Blake played his latest hits and some classics. After playing “God Gave Me You,” he said, “If you think that song is old…this next one is really old.” The lights turned red, the crowd went wild, and Blake played our favorite.

From Vegas to Nashville, you never know who’ll show up at Ole Red. So keep on honky-tonkin’—you’re gonna love what happens next.
