Ole Red Tishomingo: where the drinks are cold, the bar is vibing, and the music is BS approved. On July 29th, Blake Shelton popped in for a surprise performance that left everyone buzzing.
It all started at 5 PM when the Boss Man himself casually strolled into Ole Red Tishomingo with wife Gwen Stefani and kids in tow. The place was packed from a tease Blake put out on social media, so he had a captive audience when he played “Playboys of the Southwestern World,” at the start of his acoustic set.
Next up was “Ol’ Red,” a classic nod to the bar and restaurant itself that had everyone singing along. Blake even treated the crowd to a special performance of his most recent duet with Post Malone, “Pour Me a Drink.”
Blake didn’t just sing; he shared stories that made the night even more special. He talked about how much he enjoyed working with Post Malone and reminisced about last summer when his stepson, Kingston, performed. According to Blake, Kingston’s music leans more towards Gwen’s style, while stepson Zuma has embraced his inner country star.
And speaking of Zuma, he made his country music debut at Ole Red. The young talent took the stage dressed in full cowboy attire, strumming his guitar and belting out some Zach Bryan tunes. It was a proud moment for Blake, and the crowd loved every second of it.
Of course, Blake couldn’t resist cracking a few jokes. He playfully poked fun at the stand-in sound tech (and friend of Blake’s) for not being very good at his job. But hey, hard to find last minute on-demand sound techs in Tishomingo, Oklahoma!
These are the nights that make Ole Red Tishomingo the place to be. The music, the stories, the family, the laughs – they all come together to create unforgettable moments. So, keep your eyes peeled and your ears open because you never know who might show up next. Until then, keep the music loud and the drinks flowing.
