Bill Cody is a Country Radio Hall of Famer, longtime Grand Ole Opry announcer, and one of the most familiar and beloved voices in country music broadcasting. In the fall of 2024, he was honored with a star on the Music City Walk of Fame—recognizing a career that’s helped shape the soundtrack of Nashville for nearly five decades.
With more than 30 years as host of WSM Radio’s flagship morning show, Coffee, Country & Cody, Bill’s warm voice and deep knowledge of country music history have made him a trusted friend to artists and fans alike. His career spans 48 years on the airwaves, including roles in nationally syndicated radio, television, and film. His credits include American Saturday Night: Live from the Grand Ole Opry, Tennessee’s Wildside on PBS, Ray Stevens’ Nashville(RFD), and GAC TV’s Master Series.
An inductee into the Country Music Disc Jockey Hall of Fame (2008), Bill has earned multiple nominations from the CMA, ACM, and Billboard for his broadcasting excellence. His voice has traveled from Willie’s Roadhouse on SiriusXM to in-flight programs on United Airlines—including flights aboard Air Force One and Two.
Beyond the mic, Bill is a devoted husband to his high school sweetheart, Rebecca. Together they’ve raised three children and now live just outside Cross Plains, Tennessee.
