Lexi Carter

Lexi is the Music Director at WSM Radio and host of Late Nights with Lexi (weeknights, midnight–5 a.m.) and The Fringe (Sundays, 4–7 p.m.), a music discovery show, spotlighting new and emerging artists in Americana, Bluegrass, Country music and beyond.

A New Jersey native who grew up on a farm, Lexi developed her love for country music early on and quickly realized her love of the music & storytelling made working in radio an obvious choice!It is extra special for her to be here at the Radio home of the Opry, because her grandfather was a fan of early country music and often listened to the Opry!

After more than a decade in country radio at the Jersey Shore, she moved to Nashville and joined WSM in 2017.

Off-air, she curates playlists for WSM and its digital stations, Opry 100 Radio and Route 650, and enjoys seeing live music, trying new restaurants, and exploring all things Nashville.
